Accessibility Statement

We want this website to be usable by as many people as possible, and we are committed to meeting recognised accessibility standards.

Last updated: 1 June 2026

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is the standard expected of UK public sector websites and is the benchmark we hold ourselves to.

What we have done

Across the site we have:

  • provided a "skip to content" link for keyboard and screen-reader users;
  • made keyboard focus clearly visible on links, buttons, and controls;
  • used a logical heading structure on every page;
  • given meaningful alternative text to images, and marked decorative graphics so assistive technology ignores them;
  • respected the "reduce motion" setting in your operating system, so animations are minimised if you prefer;
  • built the site to work without JavaScript for its core content, and to reflow cleanly on small screens and at high zoom.

Known limitations

We review the site regularly. If we identify content that does not yet fully meet level AA, we list it here and work to fix it. At present we are not aware of any outstanding issues; if you find one, please tell us using the details below.

Reporting a problem

If you experience any difficulty using this site, or need information in a different format, please email Lawrence@Hession-Kent.com. We will aim to respond within a reasonable time and to put things right.

Enforcement

If you contact us with a complaint and are not satisfied with our response, the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing accessibility requirements. You can raise a concern through the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
