Nottinghamshire Healthcare is one of England's largest mental health trusts, serving over
750,000 people across Nottinghamshire and beyond. In 2024, the trust was operating under
CQC special measures — a designation that brings regulatory scrutiny, constrained resource,
and a mandatory improvement programme running in parallel to day-to-day operations. The
digital estate comprised 83 separate services using RiO and SystmOne across mental health
and community care — four EPR instances in total. The transformation programme was tasked
with rationalising and modernising that landscape while supporting the trust's wider recovery.
