Who we are

Hession-Kent Business Solutions Ltd ("we", "us") is the data controller for personal data processed through this website. What data we collect

This is a static brochure website with no contact forms, accounts, or logins. We do not ask you to submit personal data through the site itself.

If you choose to email us using the contact links, we receive the information you send — typically your name, email address, and the content of your message. Our website host also processes limited technical data (such as your IP address and basic request logs) to deliver the site securely; see "Cookies and hosting" below.

How and why we use it

We use the information you send by email only to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to discuss or carry out professional work. Our lawful bases are our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running our business, and, where you are engaging us, taking steps to enter into or perform a contract.

We do not use your data for marketing without your consent, and we do not sell or share it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers who act as our processors:

• Microsoft 365 — email and productivity. Microsoft hosts our email and may process data in the UK, EU, or other regions under appropriate safeguards.
• Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, DNS, and security. Cloudflare processes technical request data to serve and protect the site.

Where any provider transfers data outside the UK, that transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent. We may also disclose data where required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting relationship, and then for a reasonable period to meet legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted.

Cookies and hosting

This website sets no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and uses no third-party tracking scripts. Fonts are served from our own domain, not a third-party network.

Our host, Cloudflare, may set a small number of strictly necessary cookies for security and bot management (for example, to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated traffic). These are exempt from the consent requirement under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations because they are essential to delivering the service you have requested. For this reason, the site does not display a cookie consent banner.

If we add website analytics in future, we intend to use a privacy-respecting, cookieless method that does not track individuals across sites. We will update this notice before doing so.

Your rights

You have rights under data protection law, including the right to access a copy of your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email Lawrence@Hession-Kent.com.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
